Siena is one of the most important destination in Tuscany, many people prefer it even to after Florence since it has a more mediaeval athmosphere and is better preserved. It's the city of the famous Palio, the site of the “Enoteca Italiana” -the only national wine association- the site of “Monte dei Paschi” -the oldest bank in the world- while San Gimignano is the only Italian towered hilltown that maintained intact it mediaeval appearance.
